Still dealing with bs from this company. Had to get my items in pieces due to them putting a red lock on my unit and leaving early last Friday while I had a U-Haul and movers. Went back Saturday and they were closed even though customer service said they had no notes of them being closed. Finally was able to get the Lock removed Monday to start getting my stuff, which I had to do piece by piece due to having to move in our personal vehicles and the money we already wasted. I received a email at 4:30 pm today saying I had 24 hours to remove the rest of my items and remove my lock or my lock would be cut and I would be charged a lock fee. I go to get the rest of my items today at 7pm and my access code has been suspended. How tf am I supposed to get my stuff if you suspended my code??? I called several times last week to get a manager to call me back and I still haven’t heard from one yet. Not to mention I’m missing 2 bar stools and a tv smh

My unit is literally paid and she went out on a red lock to keep us from being able to get our items. Got me feeling like some stuff is missing the way she’s trying to keep us from getting into our unit. Not to mention I’ve been sitting here a hour and nobody is here. Beware After repeated ongoing issues for MONTHS now, I decided to complain. However, due to the response from management, I’m escalating. Take a look at the newest Google reviews of this company to see a new trend and pattern. Again, for MONTHS now the elevators break down consistently. Some of the time there is one working, but most of the time they’re both out. We’ve had to leave and come back because we are a top floor unit and unable to carry heavy furniture up steps. I get elevator problems every now and then, but this is a consistent multiple month ordeal at this point. I then decided to complain about the doors to the complex. They’ve been broken for over 30 days, remain wide open at times, and do not have the ability to lock, putting everyone’s items in danger as someone could easily sneak in that doesn’t have a code. Lastly, I spoke with both Regional and Property Manager who advised they are aware of the ongoing issues but have been waiting for the owners to approve the cost. Are you kidding? We pay our monthly rent yet the necessary repairs cannot be made in a timely manner due to cost? Anyways, due to the response from management, I have filed a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs as well as a complaint with BBB so they can both investigate. I do not recommend this business.

Today, I went to put some things in storage- elevators were down. There was a family moving out of the storage unit with a rental truck and had to carry everything up and down stairs. They informed me the elevators were down and that the staff said there was nothing they could do and wouldn't compensate them for their inconvenience. If you have ample amounts of time on your hands and love a good stair workout lifting heavy things in a hot, "climate controlled" environment than Look no further- this is the place for you! ... to respond to your answer- we have already tried to reach out directly and the staff would not adjust our monthly bill even though we couldn't get the things we needed from our unit.

In August of 2022, I needed a storage unit to use for work related materials and samples. I purposefully selected a unit on the second floor (no 1st floor units were available) right next to the elevator, because of multiple heavy boxes and packages that I would need to insert and take from my unit. Since I moved my belongings into my unit, the elevator next to my unit has worked for about 1 full month. There is a note on the elevator stating that it is out of order and to use the elevator at the back of the building (the furthest possible walk away from my unit). This elevator has been out of commission for over 10 months. Since then, my rent has increased $10 per month, and the few trash cans that were located around the facility are now gone with notes taped to the walls threatening fines for leaving any trash whatsoever. I would not recommend Pelham Road Self Storage to anyone. Please go somewhere else if you want to be fully satisfied. I will be out and on to a better, cleaner, more functioning storage location by the end of November.
